Education and Employers (EET) provide young people with the inspiration, motivation, knowledge, skills and opportunities they need to help them achieve their potential, by ensuring every school and college has an effective partnership with employers.

Alongside pioneering research, they support a number of volunteering programmes which utilise innovative technology based on Salesforce, to match schools and colleges with relevant volunteers, quickly and efficiently. EET are always developing new programmes to improve young people’s learning and experiences.

Over the next few years they will be significantly expanding their Primary Futures programme, broadening the horizons of children, and enabling thousands of schools to improve their governance by connecting them to prospective governors, proven to help them achieve higher academic performance.

The Challenge

EET needed to ensure they had an adaptive online, cloud-based system that supported their latest volunteering programmes to be successful. They needed the platform to provide excellent user experience & design and to provide schools & volunteers with quick and easy access to the tools they needed to connect. EET also wanted to ensure that as a small charity, they could be as efficient as possible in supporting their users to make the most of the system, whilst providing detailed monitoring and reporting on the impact to key stakeholders. They are a small team and need to always look for ways to work smarter. Salesforce has been the perfect solution to that.

Our DEEP Methodology

.

CLOUT’s DEEP Methodology is the key to rapidly Deploying an initial implementation in line with our client’s desired business outcomes. Once the customer team has had a chance to Experience the new solution and see the return on their investment, they typically start working on further Enhancements that drive improved business results and ultimately, Profit.

EET began their Deployment with Sales Cloud. After Experiencing the power of the Salesforce platform, they Enhanced their system by upgrading to Communities and Knowledge. This enabled EET to bring all of their stakeholders into their ecosystem and get the relevant people working off the same system.

Further Enhancements included integrations with Ordnance Survey (MAP), Search for volunteers and Search for volunteering opportunities.

The Outcome

.

EET’s implementation has been anything but standard and therefore required us to think differently, understand their user’s needs and put these first, whilst appreciating the implications for overall use. The resulting system has given EET the functionality they have wanted but not been able to access, for a long time. This will ultimately support thousands of young people across the UK. The fact that EET (through Knowledge) can now ensure the right guidance and resources are provided to different user groups is a game-changer, as is their ability to utilise Cases and the improved communication functionality.
